Ceremonial Grade Cacao – what’s the hype?
A few year ago I (Hayley) had my first taste of ceremonial grade cacao and have been addicted ever since (even though it’s said to not be addictive, I’m addicted to how I feel when I drink it) and so last December I embarked on training with Keith Wilson (Keith’s Cacao) to become a practitioner for hosting Cacao ceremonies. Keith actually coined the term ‘ceremonial grade cacao‘.
Ceremonial Cacao is chocolate in it’s purest form – unlike the brands found in supermarkets (often labelled raw or organic), ceremonial grade cacao has had minimal processing with nothing added and nothing removed.
Since I began drinking cacao it has naturally taken away old cravings for chocolate and sweet things in general.
It’s also a perfect drink if you enjoy cold exposure as cacao is a vasodilator (a natural heart opener) and therefore helps us warm up that little bit quicker (unlike caffeine which is a vasoconstrictor and so restricts the blood flow, taking us longer to warm up).
Ceremonial cacao is a superfood which has been scientifically proven to contain many unique properties.
